As a physician couple, we have experienced the challenges, both individually and together, of the mounting pressures and increased demands that come with the medical profession.

We understand the complex nature of a physician's well-being, so we are actively involved in the educational and transformational potential of the issues around it.

What are the main contributors to physician dissatisfaction today?

We would site one them as lack of control - lack of control over workload, regulatory influences, increasing complexity of medicine, patient expectations, etc. Unfortunately, given that a lot of these are out of our control, the best we can do for now is to take control of our own individual situations.

The path of least resistance would lead us to stay on life's treadmill and feel we aren't getting anywhere despite never stopping. Having said this and after all of the time devoted to our training to become physicians, one can't help but say, "Seriously? Is this it?".


How do I go about gaining more control over my life?

Life is precious and you only have one to live. Just really stop and think about this most basic, fundamental concept. Although many of us often talk about what we could or should do, how many of us actually do it? No matter how bad things can get, making any type of change can seem daunting. It ends up feeling like just one more thing on our never ending to-do list.

In an attempt to help you reclaim some of that control you feel you have lost, both professionally and personally, we have developed a 4 week course filled with actionable steps and outcomes - less talking, more doing.

Your time is precious, so we will focus on the true nuts and bolts of what you need to do to make the changes you desire. We will also provide you with additional links and resources to augment the process.

1. How do I receive the course content?

Every week, starting January 2, 2018, you will receive an e-mail prompt to access the lesson, exercises and resources on our course platform. 

2. Can I contact you with questions, comments or concerns?

Absolutely! We are committed to offering you a unique and individualized experience. You can contact us anytime via e-mail.

3. Do I need anything other than a computer?

We recommend a basic duo-tang to organize your printed worksheets and any loose leaf paper you may use to complete the exercises. Alternatively, you may want to just keep everything in an electronic format on your computer.

4. How long do I have access to the course content?

You will be able to access all of the course content for an additional two weeks beyond the official end date of the course. 

5. Can I hold you responsible if I don't achieve the desired outcome?

We believe in the adage 'you get out what you put in' - no space for blame or shame. We are all about trying our best with integrity and authenticity. 

6. Do you offer refunds?

Unfortunately, all sales are final.

Instructor Biography

Colin & Sara Taylor, Co-founders of Physicians for Physicians

Drs. Colin and Sara Taylor have been a united team in life for the past 23 years and in marriage for the past 21 years. In March of 2013, they launched Sara's website Sara T, M.D. dedicated to general wellness, physician wellness and personal development. In October 2016, they launched their joint website Physician for Physicians dedicated to physician wellness and personal development through online courses, and starting shortly in the fall of 2017, physician wellness retreats on beautiful Vancouver Island.

To provide some background context, Colin and Sara both grew up in the Maritimes - Colin in Prince Edward Island and Sara in New Brunswick. They met during medical school at the University of Western Ontario in London, ON in 1994. Two years later, they got married during medical school and upon graduation from medical school, moved to Calgary, AB to pursue residency training. Sara completed her Family Medicine residency in 2000 and Colin completed his Radiology residency in 2003. 

Apart from her current work related to Sara T, M.D., Sara has worked in various clinical and nonclinical settings in Calgary, AB, Prince Edward Island and Red Deer, AB. Colin has worked as a staff radiologist in both Prince Edward Island and Red Deer, AB. Apart from his work as a radiologist, he also takes great pleasure in the creative aspect of his behind the scenes work on both Sara T, M.D. and Physicians for Physicians. 

Colin and Sara have recently relocated to Victoria, BC. Their greatest joys are their two teenaged children who have added a dimension of perspective and purpose to their lives since the days they were born during their residency training. They have focused on living each and every day with them as opposed to just raising them. They also enjoy their downtime at home, cooking, walking, yoga and four pets.
